Meet Dr. O'Brien & Dr. Kevin



Dr. Michael O'Brien 

Dr. Michael O’Brien has been practicing general dentistry in Sacramento since 1982.  He attended UC Berkeley and studied psychology, graduating with honors in 1978. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended UC San Francisco and graduated in the top of his class in 1982. He was selected to be a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Michael O’Brien enjoys all aspects of his family-oriented practice from children's dentistry to geriatrics. He especially enjoys the long-term relationships that he has established with his patients. In his free time, Dr. O’Brien loves spending time with his family skiing, hiking and traveling.   

 


 

Dr. Kevin Kenji O'Brien

Dr. Kevin Kenji O’Brien attended Brown University and studied Biology graduating with honors in 2009.  Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Stanford University to get his Masters in Education and worked as a high school biology and chemistry teacher for 6 years.  After going with his father on several dental trips to Guatemala, he was inspired to change careers.  He attended University of the Pacific in San Francisco and graduated at the top of his class in 2021.  He was selected to be a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.  After graduating he did a General Practice Residency at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento where he proudly treated veterans and got additional training in implant placement and root canals.  Dr. Kevin enjoys building relationships with patients and working together to develop a plan for long-term oral health.   In his free time, Dr. Kevin loves spending time with his two sons (Kai and Miles) and his wife Jessica.  


 

 


Guatemala Mission Trip

Dr. O'Brien and his team volunteer their time on an annual trip to Guatemala to provide impoverished children with free dental care in the Mayan Highlands.   Each year they see over 200 patients and provide comprehensive care including cleanings, fillings, sealants, and extractions.
